Terms of use

Your account

• You need to be 18 or over to create a family or subscribe. A parent or guardian can add younger family members and is responsible for their use.
• Give accurate details, keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• Your family's admin decides who is in the family and can remove members. Everything added to a family is shared with all of its members.

The free plan and Premium

• The free plan includes the planner, recipes and shopping lists, with ads and a monthly limit on AI features for each family (currently 5 Chef AI recipes, 10 nutrition estimates and 20 recipe imports).
• Premium removes the ads and the AI limits for the whole family. It currently costs A$4.99 a month or A$49.90 a year, charged in Australian dollars. The price shown in the app and at checkout when you subscribe is the one that applies.
• Subscriptions are paid in advance through Stripe and renew automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel.
• You can cancel at any time under Premium, Manage subscription. Premium then continues until the end of the period you have paid for and isn't renewed.
• We don't give refunds for part of a billing period, except where the law requires it.
• If we change the price, we will tell you at least 30 days before your next renewal, so you can cancel first.

Your rights under Australian law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law, including the consumer guarantees, that can't lawfully be excluded.

Your content

• Recipes, plans, notes, lists and photos you add stay yours.
• You let us store, copy and display them to your family, and send them to our service providers where a feature needs it (for example, to Anthropic when you use an AI feature), only to run Mealply for you.
• Only add content you have the right to use. Recipes you import from other websites are for your family's personal use.

AI features

Chef AI, recipe imports and nutrition estimates are produced automatically and can be wrong. Check recipes before you cook, especially for allergens, dietary needs and food safety. Nutrition figures are estimates, not medical or dietetic advice.

Using Mealply fairly

Please don't:

• use Mealply for anything unlawful, harmful or abusive;
• send invitations to people who haven't agreed to hear from you, or use names that contain links or web addresses;
• try to get into accounts or data that aren't yours, or disrupt or overload the service;
• copy, scrape, resell or reverse engineer Mealply.

Changes and availability

We work to keep Mealply running smoothly, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may improve, change or remove features. If a change significantly reduces what Premium gives you, we will tell you before it applies.

Ending your use

You can stop using Mealply and delete your account at any time from the You tab, as explained in the privacy policy. Deleting the last account in a family cancels any Premium subscription. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. If we close a paid account without good reason, we will refund the unused part of the subscription.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, and apart from your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, our liability to you is limited to supplying the service again or refunding what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we aren't liable for indirect losses, such as loss of data you didn't keep elsewhere or loss of profits.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or in the app before it applies. Continuing to use Mealply after that means you accept the new terms.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
